Our paternoster rig is a versatile fishing set up and is able to be used in multiple situations and conditions. From fishing from the beach and casting into the surf, to dropping down from a boat or jetty, the Paternoster rig has been a popular and successful option for many years.
This particular version of our Paternoster includes foam floats on each dropper loop. These floats not only provide visual attraction through their colouring, but also help your bait hang seductively in the water and present better. The team at Happy Hookers have used this rig with great success on the beach while fishing for Salmon, Flathead and Tailor and have also found they work great while dropping them over the side of the boat or casting from the jetty or river bank.
The twisted dropper loops we feature on our Paternoster serve two purposes. The first being that they hold the hook away from your mainline helping to eliminate tangles. The second, is that the loop allows the hook to easily be taken off allowing you to simply and quickly swap hook size as needed.
