Happy Hookers - Pulley Rig - Pre-tied Fishing Rig

Our pulley rig is a game changer.

Designed to keep your bait up and off the bottom and out of the reach of undesirable catches of rays and banjos. It is quite successful in accomplishing this and will decrease your bycatch of these unwanted species.

Another feature of the pulley rig is that upon the fish taking the bait and running, the free running nature of the rig allows for the sinker to be lifted off the bottom, not only avoiding snags but also providing a weight to hook the fish effectively without needing to strike. This feature also helps reduce the chance of tail wrapping fish. Everyone who's lost a gummy this way knows what we're talking about!. 

We here at Happy hookers have used the rig with great success over rocky / weedy bottoms as the bait is presented higher in the water and therefore avoids obstruction to the hooks while fishing.

The pulley rig is set up by tying your main line onto the red pulley bead and is best fished with a tight main line ensuring your bait is kept off the bottom. The balanced nature of this requires that the weight of the bait used is not greater than the weight of sinker used.
