The fish finder rig is a must have in your arsenal. It has proved itself deadly in multiple fishing situations and is a great all rounder. It is easily castable from the riverbank, jetty, boat, beach or rocks. Essentially, if there's fish about, this rig will help you find them.
The fish finder rig uses a sinker slide, which allows the bait to move freely without resistance from the sinker, enabling the fish to take the bait into its mouth without being aware of the weight of the sinker. At times, this feature can enable the fish to hook itself eliminating the need to strike.
To set up the fish finder rig, first thread the sinker slide onto your main line followed by the lumo bead, which is used for knot protection and visual attraction, and then tie the swivel to your mainline. Next, clip on your sinker, add some bait and cast it out. It's that simple!
